Later Youth
‘Make It right’ is the debut single from British artist and producer Later Youth, releasing on Sideways Saloon Recordings / Kartel Music Group on Friday February 14th.
It’s no coincidence that LY has chosen Valentines Day to release this song. ‘Make It right’ is a bold hook-laden statement of love, served up in a heavy dose of soulful scuzzy indie-pop. A perfect antidote to this cynical age.
“The song is about wishing for reconciliation with an ex set to the abstract metaphor of a dead elephant in the room that’s stinking the place out. I wanted the recording to sound like I was performing it on a late 60’s TV show dressed in a dishevelled tuxedo, crooning to the camera with a brass band in tow, feather boas everywhere; dancers shimmying to the beat. I didn’t have the budget for the video though!” LY
Later Youth will be performing full band headline shows for the first time in February in Manchester and London, as well as a solo show for Independent Venue Week.
