Jamal Woon is back! With the newly released Prayers For My Soul and 2016 Summer Luv, he is ready to take the music world by storm. On the 29th August, we invite you to join us for an evening with Woon and his friends, featuring amazing talent showcasing some incredible music.
Jamal will be joined on stage by 3 of his collaborators. You will be in for a treat as he allows them to shine, and joins them all for an exclusive live performance.
Jamal Woon is a 21-year-old musician hailing from Colliers Green and Mitcham, South London.
From his early teenage years, Jamal has been creating. He has directed music videos for: Dot Rotten; Courtney Bennett; Amplify Dot and more. At the age of 14, Jamal focused his pursuits to his passion for music, and since has had numerous achievements, such as being playlisted on national radio, and performing on the SXSW stage in Austin, Texas, all before the age of 18. His skills include singing, writing, producing, engineering and developing artists.
Jamal’s music combines a variety of sounds. Influences range from Lauryn Hill, Musiq Soulchild and Shakka, to Timbaland and Dot Rotten. He defines it as “the fusion of grime culture, married with the soul of R&B”. His unique style has received heavy support from the likes of MistaJam, Stormzy, Lily Allen and more. Behind the scenes, Jamal has been writing and working with artists including Mahalia and Mic Lowry.
Over the last few years, Jamal has taken time to grow as an individual and an artist. He is focused on releasing amazing music and experimenting creatively. Music is his art. And he is just getting started!
