Kathmandu-born, London based – sound man and artist. Shubha G has recorded with many notable musicians and producers over the years. He has collaborated with the legendary Channel One on projects since 2011. The partnership culminated in a mini tour of Asia and included a landmark event in his hometown of Kathmandu. A selector/ operator for Hackney-based label and analog sound system, Kingsland Ites. The label has three releases under its belt and many more in the pipeline. They are also known locally for all-inclusive community soundsystem events which take place every year in Gillet Square, Dalston Kingsland. Shubha has a love of the 45s. He continues to source an impressive selection of the 80s & 90s Reggae / Dancehall straight from Jamaica. “The use of digital technology in the music from this era was groundbreaking and innovative to say the least. Its influence is global and has inspired more musicians and producers than it’s often given credit for. It changed the musical landscape and I love it.”
