Ashley Singh
Ashley Singh is a 24 year old singer-songwriter from East London, who effortlessly delivers an emotive, delicate sound through the use of his deeply honest lyrical abilities. Ashley’s unique vocals convey his deeply personal and candour writing style, intricately creating songs of a sad nature, whilst upholding an incredibly moving essence across the board.
He first emerged with ‘Keep Me’, which displayed his heart-breaking exploration of the sadness and melancholy of faltering romance. It instantly connected with audiences as his following on TikTok expanded and ‘Keep Me’ has since exceeded 7 million streams.
A vocalist, pianist, and a self-taught guitarist at the age of 14, he went on to pursue his passion for the guitar, through lessons with a deaf music teacher, followed by attending East London Arts & Music, founded by Will Kennard, part of Chase & Status.
He is particularly inspired by artists with a similar skill for songs which make relatable anthems from challenging emotional experiences, including Coldplay, Julia Michaels, Finneas, and JP Saxe.
In 2022 he enjoyed a breakthrough moment after a huge teaser campaign for his debut Warner Records release ‘10 SUMMERS’. Since first teasing the track, his following has exploded at all key platforms, including 20 MILLION VIEWS across video creations. A major driving factor behind its appeal has been the song’s open verse challenge, with big name participants including Tom Walker, elijah woods, Alfie Jukes, and Sabyna. ‘10 Summers’, which already sits at over 6 million streams, also captures Ashley’s versatile musicianship, having produced and performed everything on the track. In addition to Danny Connors (Tom Grennan) who co-wrote ’10 Summers’, Ashley’s other recent collaborators include TMS, Plested, and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. Factor in airplay at BBC INTRODUCING, live shows with Benson Boone and Emily Roberts, and it’s clear that Ashley’s upwards momentum is undeniable.
