Pillow Fite & Braden Lam
Two of Canada’s finest emerging songwriting acts make their debut in London!
Pillow Fite is an emerging queer alt-folk duo from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Pairing tender, heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics with catchy alt-rock instrumentals and folky ballads, the genre lines get blurred in a way that keeps the project dynamic and binge-worthy while giving listeners all of the feels. Pillow Fite consists of singer-songwriter Art Ross (they/them) and guitarist Aaron Green (he/him). As a trans non-binary fronted band, Pillow Fite strive to represent queer experiences both on and off stage, and work hard to perform in safe and inclusive spaces.

Blending authentic songwriting with modern indie flare, Braden Lam (he/him) is forging the path to a new 21st century folk. The young artist from Halifax, NS sounds like The Lumineers and Phoebe Bridgers met at a campfire in Canada. Grid City Magazine dubbed him “Nova Scotia’s emerging songwriting sensation”. He’s been nominated for multiple East Coast Music and Music Nova Scotia Awards, endorsed by RBCxMusic and Harmony Guitars, and has toured around the world including at FOCUS Wales, The Great Escape in England, Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival, in Ireland and across Canada.
