Happy Cycling 5
Happy Cycling is a low-key monthly music social created by a collaborative team of 4 labels – Kit Records, Cold Blow, Organic Analogue and Mythstery. The crew returns to the Servant Jazz Quarters for their fifth outing on Friday 24th June.
This cycle is curated by our regular hostess Organic Analogue and features a debut London show for collaborative dj duo The Land Speed Record Department (Nate Forest & Oli Warwick). The Department will play a tag-team vinyl-only selection exploring the musical sounds and styles of one key year in history: 1983. Guaranteed to be a record breaker, shout out to Roy Castle.
Cult favourite Datassette also takes to the decks for a peak time set. Known for his well regarded output on labels like Apollo, Shipwrec, Ai Records, Frequency Domain and Future Massive, Datasette also runs the Misc label, specialising in releasing unexpected side projects by interesting artists. Sure to make more of a racket than your favorite Commodore 64 peripheral did on boot. Irreverent resident Djs Gilet, Pigeon, Fatigue & Plum will be on hand to train wreck the odd mix and bring some good vibes.
A tiny shubs with ideas far above its station, Happy Cycling is there for you if the thought of going to a club night and hearing 8 hours of non-stop jazzy deep house makes you want to stay in and play rocket league instead. Follow @happycyclingsocial on Insta for more. Get tickets if you plan on coming, the venue is small and it helps us loads on the door 🙂
